The state breathed a collective sigh of relief and then erupted in pent-up celebration after years of near misses, many of which occurred in the Orange Bowl. The straws that broke the Hurricanes back were classic Nebraska smashmouth football, the 36 and 38 traps, both resulting in small town Nebraska boy Cory Schlesinger rambling into the end zone to take the lead. #1 again!
