Receive the entire inaugural & historic Big Ten season on DVD! Includes every game from the 2011 season in its entirety as filmed by Husker Vision! The Huskers continue their fight through the most tumultuous 2 year stretch in recent memory, making the transition from the Big XII to the Big Ten in 2011. After the bitter bon voyage tour in 2010, NU looks forward to a fresh start in 2011. Though welcoming, the Big Ten puts NU through a little hazing with one of the tougher schedules it can devise, featuring road trips to Wisconsin, The Big House, Happy Valley, and home tilts against vaunted Ohio State and Michigan State. Never shrinking from a challenge, fiercely competitive coach Pelini marches the troops through a black and blue campaign in 2011, plugging multiple injury gaps in the defensive and offensive lines with fresh faces, all the while settling in a new coaching staff. Under the direction of first year o-coordinater Tim Beck, NU returns to the option game with multiple sets and play action passing. Running his 4th offensive scheme in four years of playing QB, Taylor Martinez narrowly misses the 1,000 / 2,000 yard combo rushing and passing, running for 9 TD's and throwing for 12. The backbone through NU's brutal trek is all Big Ten running back Rex Burkhead, carrying the ball and defenders over 260 times for 1,200 yards and 15 TD's. Lavonte David bobs weaves and rockets into ball-carriers, averaging an incredible 10 tackles and 1 TFL per game, coming up with big play after big play and turning momentum. Lock down corner Alfonzo Dennard frees up the remaining DB's to blanket opposing receivers and stymy pro style air assaults. NU takes its lumps, but fights its way to a 9-3 record and a Capital One Bowl birth - with the highlight of the season coming against OSU with a 21 point 2nd half comeback win. Each DVD contains an entire game complete with radio broadcast for audio. DVD's come in a collector's box set. Includes all regular season games and the 2012 Capital One Bowl.
